This is a wuxia (Chinese style heroic fiction) series that will follow the historical character of the Shaolin warrior monk, Tanzong, across the early Tang dynasty (early 7th century C.E.) empire, which spanned an area greater than present day China. Listening to Rain will probably publish at the end of March, 2012. The next two volumes, tentatively titled: Drinking the Moon and Riding the Wind, will follow at some point. Tanzong, on his own quest for spiritual enlightenment, will be reluctantly involved in helping the great Chinese emperor Li Shimin establish the Tang dynasty.
